Our restless feet brought us to Glorietta and Greenbelt 3 two Saturdays ago. Because it was already getting dark when we reached Greenbelt 3, hubby decided we’d have dinner there before heading home. We found ourselves inside Smokin’ Hot BarBQ, a member of the Bistro Group that serves global Filipino cuisine. We ordered Grilled Pig’s Ear, Smokin’ BarBQ Chicken, Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw and Aligue Rice.

Hubby and I love pig’s ears, so we made sure we’d order Grilled Pig’s Ear. Marinated pork ears were grilled and basted with special sauce. I couldn’t stop myself from eating a lot of these because they were tender and flavorful.

One of their signature dishes, the Smokin’ BarBQ Chicken is a must-try, too. You’ll get everything you want from roasted chicken: tender, tasty and juicy. My only complaint here was that there were parts of the chicken that were not cooked enough.

There was nothing special about their Ginisang Kalabasa at Sitaw, however. I actually found it a bit bland, plus I would have preferred it to have more string beans than squash.

The Aligue Rice was salty, so we had to mix it with plain rice. I was actually eyeing their Black Rice, but hubby’s preference prevailed.
We really enjoyed their Grilled Pig’s Ear and Smokin’ BarBQ Chicken, and we’d love to try other items on their menu next time.
