Mrs. Fields Café at SM Makati: A Cozy Place to Chill and Chat

My son and I were invited to try the latest food offerings of Mrs. Fields Café at SM Makati last Friday. My first impression of the place was highly favorable. It’s clean, cool, comfortable and vibrant. Mrs. Fields Café has free wi-fi, too, and my son likes that very much!

We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Salve Francisco, Mrs. Fields’ Senior Marketing Head and Ms. Jana Macabia, Mrs. Fields’ Marketing Communication Specialist.

While I was taking pictures of the facility, my son, who was busy playing games on his cell phone, was given some of Mrs. Fields’ yummy sweet treats.

We also got to try Mrs. Fields’ Sweet and Savory Cookies which were all so good. My ultimate favorite, however, is the Chunky Macadamia Bacon Cookie. It’s chunky, nutty and chewy.

What happens when you combine your delicious creamy chocolates and Mrs. Fields’ signature cookie recipes? The result is a sinful fusion called Mrs. Fields’ Indulgent Creations which include Hershey’s S’mores Cookie, Hershey’s Chocolate Overload Cookie, Kisses Toasted Marshmallow Cookie, Kisses Double Chocolate Cookie and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie.

I actually saved these three Indulgent Creations for hubby, but all three of us (hubby, son and me) feasted on them after dinner at home.

Mrs. Fields’ ever-growing menu now also includes PerfectPair food items, which include sandwiches, panini, waffle and sliders. You can order these as a set meal or a la carte. I had the set meal of Bacon and Cheese Waffle, which comes with chips, Mrs. Fields’ cookie and iced tea.

Bacon and Cheese Waffle (Set Meal – Php270.00; a la carte, Php185.00)

Would you believe my son ate all the crunchy and tasty chips? That’s how much he loves them. I, on the other hand, finished the slightly sweet waffle which was both meaty and cheesy. Also, the size and the thickness of the waffle were just enough to fill the tummy.

Sliders Trio (Set Meal – Php270.00; a la carte, Php185.00)

My son had the Sliders Trio set meal that he likewise shared with me. One of those mini buns had Pulled Pork, the other has Ham and Cheese, and the third one has Bologna. I love the idea of having three bunwiches with different meat fillings. You get to taste three for the price of one. My son enjoyed the Ham and Cheese, while I liked the Pulled Pork the most.

Aside from brownies and cookies, sandwiches, panini, waffles and sliders, Mrs. Fields Café also offers rolls, croissants, ensaymadas, banana walnut cake, muffins and muffinettes, as well as various drinks (hot, iced and blended drinks and breezers).

They have gift items for sale, too, like the Mrs. Fields Bear and Mrs. Fields Plushies, Cookie Card, Cookie Heart and Sweet Pops.

Now, we wouldn’t want to leave Mrs. Field Café, well, not just yet. We would have wanted to linger some more, to chill and chat longer, and to enjoy the homey ambiance, but we had an appointment with my son’s ENT doctor, so our sweet visit was cut short, but there will definitely be a next time.
