When hubby has tried a new dining place with his officemates and he likes it, he makes sure he also takes us (son and me) there. Such is the case with Tipsy Pig Gastropub at The Fort. That’s where we celebrated Mother’s Day 2016.
The Spicy Buttered Shrimp was good with just the right spiciness, but I find it a bit pricey for the small serving size.
Our son had a grand time devouring this Tipsy Fish and Chips. I tried it, and I liked it, too. There was a crunch in every bite of the beer-battered fish fillets which are served with crispy fries and three dips: curried ketchup, tartare sauce and mashed green peas. Oh why was I the only one who enjoyed the smashed green peas? (Note: I learned from the Internet that beer batter is safe for kids to eat since the alcohol evaporates when cooked.)
This Tipsy’s Boneless Crispy Pata was so garlicky good and tender. Hubby and I finished the entire plate with a lot of rice (sigh!), but I think I ate a whole lot more of this boneless crispy goodness than he did. Lol!
Well, we didn’t order desserts, but surprise! They gave me a complimentary Mango Pavlova as their Mother’s Day treat. Because our son isn’t fond of mangoes, only hubby and I ate this not-so-sweet meringue with fresh mangoes, almond sliver and whipped cream. I love it!
What a nice treat! Happy Mother’s Day to me!
