Mr. Park’s Bread & Cake, Ortigas

Our hungry tummies and restless feet brought us inside Mr. Park’s Bread & Cake in Ortigas one Saturday night. Open 24 hours a day, this Korean bakery and café offers bread, muffins, cake, bingsu, shakes, yogurt drinks, coffee, tea and lemonade.

Garlic Naan, Php68.00

Garlic Naan is leavened bread topped with garlic sauce and two types of cheese: cream cheese and mozzarella cheese. It’s soft and fluffy. The flavor of garlic and cheese is also mild but discernible in each bite.

Cheese Pastry, Php56.00

Our 10-year-old son’s personal choice was Cheese Pastry. Cheesy and subtly sweet, our son raved about this as he ate. My only comment here is that it’s quite small for its price.

Chocolate Slice Cake, Php120.00

Hubby said this Chocolate Slice Cake was not overwhelmingly sweet. It looks a bit dry, though.

Hot Cappuccino, Php110.00

Lovely coffee art, eh? This cup of hot Hot Cappuccino went well with hubby’s Chocolate Slice Cake.

Mango Yogurt, Php140.00

I was glad I tried their Mango Yogurt, which was cool and refreshing and sweetened just right.

It’s a miracle that father and son are both in the mood to pose for my cell phone camera. The cozy ambiance must have something to do with it.
