Hubby has been convincing us (Justin and me) for the longest time to go to Livestock. After he visited this pork specialty restaurant with his friends and officemates a few months back, he has been raving about their Crispy Pata.
We finally found the chance to dine at Livestock last May when they had their company summer outing at Grand Hyatt Manila (Grand Hyatt), which is a few walks away from Uptown Parade. We had dinner at Livestock, Uptown Parade during our first night at Grand Hyatt.
Of course, we didn’t forget to order their infamous Melt-in-your-mouth Crispy Pata. I tell you, every bite is a delight! This is how it looks like when they serve it on the table. If you’re wondering what that popsicle stick is doing in that Crispy Pata, well, it has a special purpose, and that is to show how really soft and tender this Crispy Pata is, earning it the name “Melt-in-your-mouth Crispy Pata.”
This is how this Crispy Pata looks like after it was sliced using just the popsicle stick. See that pork crackling? It’s so crispy you never want to stop munching on it. The meat is moist and flavorful, too! All three of us enjoyed this immensely!
To be honest, the Melt-in-your-mouth Crispy Pata was already more than enough for our small family of three, but we wanted to have healthy food on our table, too, to lessen the guilt of savoring a sinfully delicious dish. That’s why we ordered this Cumin Butter Snapper. This is pan-fried red snapper with cumin butter emulsion. It’s only hubby and I who ate this since Justin was already satisfied with the Crispy Pata. It was also good, but it’s the Crispy Pata that won our hearts and palates!
