Jollibee Buko Pie and Ube Macapuno Pie

Whenever my husband goes out for errands, he always brings home (or rather we always ask him) to get us our Jollibee favorites: Cheesy Yumburger, Chicken Joy, and Jollibee Sweet Pies.

Jollibee Box of 6 Sweet Pies To-Go, Php175

You can have a combnation of your favorite Jollibee sweet pies in this Sweet Pies To-Go Box. I specifically asked him for the Buko Pie-Ube Macapuno Pie combination so that I can compare the two and determine which pie I like better.

I’m already quite familiar with Buko PIe because I’ve ordered it a few times before. The Ube Macapuno Pie, however, is new to me. After eating one Buko Pie and One Ube Macapuno Pie, I finally arrived at a decision.

The first thing you’ll notice in both pies is the flaky, crunchy crust, which I particularly liked. This is similar for all Jollibee sweet pies, including my first favorite Peach Mango Pie.

You’ll have creamy ube and sweet silky coconut in Jollibee’s Ube Macapuno Pie. However, the Buko Pie is less sweet than the Ube Macapuno Pie. Also, based on the photos above, the Buko Pie has thicker filling than the Ube Macapuno Pie, so there’s more buko goodness in every bite. On the other hand, the filling portions of the Ube Macapuno Pie leaves much to be desired.

After having my fill of these two Jollibee sweet pies, I therefore conclude (?) that both pies are good, but I personally prefer Jollibee Buko Pie.

What’s your favorite Jollibee sweet pie?

  2. I’ve been asking my husband to get me a box of Jollibee’s Buco pies but not all branches carry them. The one near here doesn’t, so I’ll have to wait to visit another branch to check.

  3. Madalas ako magpabili Peach-mango pie… di ko alam na merong Buko pies at ube macapuno… Titikman ko ito next time na mag Jollibee kami, sana lang available pa.

  4. I’ve tasted most of Jolibee’s pies, and while I liked the peach mango as my 3rd, the ube macapuno is actually a second fave. But that’s because I am secretly wishing that they make the ube pie a mainstay in the menu as it is oh so perfect unlike the ube macapuno which for me registers as a little bit too sweet
