Another exciting year awaits everyone when Taiwan showcases its world class and robust food industry to the global community with the holding of the Kaohsiung Food Show 2021 on October 28-31 (Thursday – Sunday), 2021 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (on-site) and October 28-November 25, 2021 for the virtual exhibition (online).
The Kaohsiung Food Show webinar was held on June 3, 2021 to inform the people what this mega event is all about. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., food industry members and media partners listened to the online seminar as organizers presented what to expect for this year’s edition of the food show.
Mr. Clement Chen, Director of Taiwan Trade Center, Manila delivered his Opening Remarks and talked about the Kaohsiung Food Show in further detail. This was followed by a Taiwan Food Show presentation by Ms. Neala Medina from the Taiwan Trade Center, Manila. Mr. Chen and Ms. Medina then presided over a Question-and-Answer session with the media present.
The annual Kaohsiung Food Show is where international exhibitors converge and present their food industry creations to a worldwide audience. It is an important platform for the Taiwan food industry players to showcase the many facets of Taiwan’s high quality and absolutely safe food and beverage products. The impressive show also serves as an effective and excellent vehicle for food show exhibitors to cultivate and establish business contacts and build a strong network of reliable suppliers and trustworthy partners.
The Kaohsiung Food Show will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center with about 232 exhibitors, 340 booths, and an expected 20,000 visitors. On exhibition will be a great array of food items such as Fresh Fruits and Agricultural Products, Meat, Dairy and Fish Products, Condiments, Frozen and Prepared Products, Dehydrated Food Stuff, Coffee, Tea, Wine & Spirits, Beverages, Confections and Cookies, and Health Food/Leisure Food, including food-related products and services.
There will also be One-on-One Online Food Procurement meetings, food-related seminars, product launches, and a culinary competition to make the event a truly much-awaited activity.
The Kaohsiung Food Show is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and co-organized by the Marine Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government.
Another momentous event to watch out for aside from the Kaohsiung Food Show 2021 will be the Food Taipei Mega Shows, happening on October 6 to October 9, 2021. The mega-event will be headlined by Food Taipei and will feature other food industry players in Taiwan such as Foodtech Taipei, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack, and Taiwan HORECA. The trade shows comprehensively represent the entire food industry supply chain, from upstream to downstream, facilitating one-stop procurement for global buyers.
This year’s event will fully occupy the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 (TaiNEX1) and Hall 2 (TaiNEX2), which are expected to host a total of more than 4,000 booths. Meanwhile, the brand-new Food Taipei Forum will share the latest information and other activities lined up about Taiwan’s burgeoning food industry.
